چکیده

Determinations of pure uric acid have been made by permanganate titrations for many years. The presence of other substances with uric acid in body fluids, which give permanganate values, has necessitated the separation of uric acid before the titration could be carried out. Such separations have never been perfect. Whether thrown down as such by treatment with stronger acids or precipitated as urates, there has always been a part of the uric acid left in solution. Hopkins’ came nearest the desired separation with his method of precipitation of ammonium urate. Probably the modification of Folin and Shaffe? has proved most useful of all, but it is distinctly imperfect since precipitation is incomplete even after 48 hours. The quantitative precipitation of uric acid by adding a soluble zinc salt and then making the solution alka, line with sodium carbonate has been described in an earlier paper.3 At that time it was mentioned that Ganassini4 had described a qualitative test for uric acid based upon a similar precipitation. It later was

An efficient platform based on cupper complex-multiwalled carbon nanotube nanocomposite modified electrode for the determination of uric acid

A new voltammetric sensor for determination of uric acid (UA) by Cuppercomplex- multiwalled carbon nanotube (Cu-complex-CNT) nanocomposite modifiedcarbon paste electrode (CPE) is reported. The electrocatalytic behavior of theCu-complex-CNT nanocomposite modified CPE was studied in pH 2.0 phosphatebuffer solution by chronoamperometry (CA) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) in th...

A Sensitive Simultaneous Determination of Uric Acid, Norepinephrine and Indomethacin using a Cadmium Sulfide Nanoparticles/Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Modified Gold Electrode

In this study a novel method was developed to fabricate cadmium sulfide nanoparticles/multiwalled carbon nanotubes composite modified gold electrode (CdSNPs/MWCNTS/AuE) to measure trace amounts of norepinephrine(NE), indomethacin (IND), and uric acid (UA) simultaneously. Electrochemical investigations were carried out using cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and chron...

Simultaneous determination of dopamine and uric acid using a glassy carbon paste electrode modified with copper- para red complex

A simple approach based on cyclic voltammetry (CV) was developed for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) in the presence of ascorbic acid (AA) using a modified glassy carbon paste electrode (GCPE). In the present study, analytical parameters were optimized and electrochemical performance of modified electrode was investigated. The calibration curves were obtained ...

Non Aqueous Titration for the Determination of Azelaic Acid: Introduction and Method Validation

Alpha-hydroxylic acids are widely used in the treatment and control of skin disorders. Azelaic acid is a naturally occuring Alpha-hydroxy acid that can be formed endogenously from long-chain dicardoxylic acids, metabolism of oleic acid or omega oxidation of mono carboxylic acids. It shows bacteriostatic and bactericidal activities against aerobic and anaerobic micro-organisms present on acne-be...
